In today's episode, we spoke (again!) to the impressive and inimitable Maria Pacheco. You might remember from the conversation in Season 1 that Maria is a biologist, entrepreneur, and founder of Wakami Global. In this episode, she and Christine talk about the power of collective dreams, how Wakami factors into it, and how supporting women can have the greatest global impact.
About thirty years ago, Guatemala was left reeling from war; this is where Wakami's story began. The difficulty of living in a country where women and children are dying was the catalyst for Maria's individual dream, one where change could be created on a micro level by focusing on women. Her dream eventually ballooned to a collective dream of transforming cycles of povery to cycles of prosperity. You'll hear more about her big collective dream - and so much more - in this episode.
